Hi everyone, here are some photos of water filter and hand washing station, water storage and school demonstration garden in Kromom Bol Primary School. The contractor connected the piping from the head tank to the SkyHydrant (ultrafiltration unit) and to the filtered and the solar panel installed to provide power for the pump. The BFT team, students, teachers and villagers are very excited and so happy about this progress. This is one of three such systems installed as part of the Svay Leu Water and sanitation Project
Update on Secondary School Project at Ta Siem.
It was our remarkable trip yesterday, we were so pleased to have our participants, Mr. Khim, the Ta Siem commune chief representative, the village chiefs, and school principals to attend our 2nd meeting and share the following update of the secondary school building project. This project funded by our partner Friends of BFT France, POEM Foundation.
Formal Handover of Svay Leu Water and Sanitation Project
After a long delay due to Covid restrictions, we wre so happy to have the celebration at Sre Robong village for the successful completion and formal handover of the Svay Leu District Villages Water and Sanitation project.
The event was hosted by the village chief and community members and the guests of honor were the District Governor of Svay Leu and the District Education Director.
The Rotary Club of Sangke-Battambang, Host Club for the project was represented by its current President, Chai Lo, and Charter President Tityarith Bun. And Oddom Chhem and Ly Sina represented the Build Your Future Today Center implementation team.
Secondary School Project Close to Completion
The secondary school building for Prey Chkar Village, in the southeast of Siem reap province will be completed later this month. The project has been funded by the POEM (Pour Offrir une Enfance Meilleure) foundation of FoBFT France, together with Bob and Indu Shah and the Polio Children Charity Foundation in the UK. The project included a school building with 8 classrooms, 2 rooms of teacher’s accommodation, and 3 toilets. This is BFT’s fourth secondary school project, providing a hub school for children to continue education after the village-based primary schools.
